Domaine Sylvain Loichet Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Aux Chaignots, Côte de Nuits, France (2023) Domaine Sylvain Loichet’s vineyard extends across several plots in the Côte de Nuits, including this 1er Cru parcel where the soil is composed of brown limestone with very little clay, creating a stony and well-drained environment. The average age of the vines is approximately 50 years old, this wine is 100% Pinot Noir. Ageing took place for around 18 months in oak barrels, with a measured use of new oak to preserve the purity of the fruit.

”The 2023 Les Aux Chaignots shows the classic elegance of the northern side of Nuits-Saint-Georges. It opens with high-toned floral notes of violet and rose, followed by a core of juicy red cherry. On the palate, the tannins are silky and refined, characteristic of this pebbly terroir.
