The Yokohama S.drive AS01 is a high-performance summer tyre designed for sports cars, hot hatches and performance saloons, featuring an aggressive asymmetric tread pattern optimised for spirited driving to deliver exceptional dry grip, responsive handling, confident cornering and engaging feedback for enthusiasts seeking dynamic performance in warm conditions
The Yokohama S.drive AS01 is a dedicated summer performance tyre engineered for drivers who demand sporty handling characteristics and engaging driving dynamics. Designed specifically for Tarmac usage and optimised for temperatures above 7°C, the AS01 features an aggressive tread design that prioritises dry road performance, delivering exceptional grip and responsive steering feel that rewards spirited driving. The asymmetric tread pattern is optimised to provide strong lateral grip during cornering whilst maintaining stability under hard acceleration and braking, and the performance-focused compound remains flexible in warm weather to maximise contact patch and grip levels. The tyre’s construction emphasises precision and feedback, allowing drivers to push confidently through corners with predictable, progressive breakaway characteristics. Whilst primarily focused on dry performance, the tread design incorporates sufficient grooves to provide competent wet-weather capability, though ultimate grip is reduced compared to all-season tyres. The S.drive AS01 suits performance-oriented drivers of hot hatches, sports saloons and coupés who prioritise handling engagement, steering precision and dry-road grip for weekend drives and spirited motoring, and who accept reduced cold-weather and winter capability in exchange for maximum warm-weather performance
